Five Facts About Me!

These are just a few fun facts about me, enjoy!

1. I'm From Huntsville, Alabama

Technically I was born in Maryland but I call Huntsville my home since I've lived there most of my life.

2. I Have 8 Pets!

Yes, eight pets. Three dogs, four chickens, and finally the newest addition to my family, a bearded dragon!

3. I Enjoy Mountain Biking

I got into mountain biking around the end of middle school and absolutely fell in love with it. I even helped create a mountain biking team at my high school in which I competed in NICA and got state champ my freshman year!

4. I'm a Nursing Major

I used to want to be a doctor when I was growing up but after I shadowed some nurses in the ER, I knew that I wanted to become a trauma nurse!

5. University of South Alabama Is My Home Away From Home

Upon coming to South in the Fall of 2017, I knew that I was going to dread going back home for breaks/summer because I loved the campus and Mobile so much. Especially during Mardi Gras season!

It's finally fall break this week and it couldn't have come at a better time! Some things I've learned from being a college student is that it is important to take time for yourself and friends every once in a while and fall break is the perfect time! So, I've compiled a list of 5 things that are important in order to decompress for fall break! 1. Go to the Beach!! This, of course, is number one on my list, who doesn't love the beach? One of the reasons I love South is because it's so close to the gulf and you have so many options for which beaches to go to! 2. Take time to yourself This is especially important since you should always take time to reflect on how your life/school is going so far and to see if you need to make any improvements in your everyday life. 3. Preparing For College

Spring semester is coming to an end and Fall semester for first time freshman is approaching fast! Here are a few of the things that I think are helpful for that transition. 1. Keep those grades up It's the end of the year and you're probably immersed in all of the senior activities at your high school which is awesome, but just remember to not slack off for these last few weeks! 2. Make sure you have everything squared away Don't forget to sign up for things like housing and orientation! These should be a top priority on your list. 3. Brush up on your studying skills Sure, you were able to get good grades in high school but when you come to college you have to make sure you have a routine down because exams can sneak up quick if you're not paying attention! 4. Meet future Jags! A great time to meet some of your future classmates is at orientation, especially because you'll be grouped with your major so you already have something in common! 5. Cherish ...

It's Spring Time!

It's finally Spring! The weather is getting warmer and I have taken advantage of that and gone on a few hikes at South Alabama's Glenn Sebastian Nature Trail! The trail has actually been apart of South Alabama for around 30 years and has many different lengths of trails to go on! The reason I love the nature trail is because it's a great place for me to go and relax after a long day of classes and it helps clear my head. I also love taking pictures of the swamp area right next to the opening of the trails which has a bridge going across it so you're able to see the water lilies up close and you may even get to spot an alligator!
