Five Facts About Me!

These are just a few fun facts about me, enjoy!

1. I'm From Huntsville, Alabama

Technically I was born in Maryland but I call Huntsville my home since I've lived there most of my life.

2. I Have 8 Pets!

Yes, eight pets. Three dogs, four chickens, and finally the newest addition to my family, a bearded dragon!

3. I Enjoy Mountain Biking

I got into mountain biking around the end of middle school and absolutely fell in love with it. I even helped create a mountain biking team at my high school in which I competed in NICA and got state champ my freshman year!

4. I'm a Nursing Major

I used to want to be a doctor when I was growing up but after I shadowed some nurses in the ER, I knew that I wanted to become a trauma nurse!

5. University of South Alabama Is My Home Away From Home

Upon coming to South in the Fall of 2017, I knew that I was going to dread going back home for breaks/summer because I loved the campus and Mobile so much. Especially during Mardi Gras season!

Volunteering as a College Student!

A great way to get involved when your're in college is to volunteer! Many of the clubs on campus incorporate volunteering because it is important to get volunteer hours and they look great on resumes! You can also get involved with volunteering individually. There are many places that need volunteers including food banks, animal rescue places, and even some local businesses. I personally like to volunteer when I go back home to Huntsville and I usually either volunteer at A New Leash on Life (animal rescuer) or Manna House which is a food/clothing/hygiene distribution center. I think it's important to volunteer because it is simply the right thing to do to help out the community and you can also meet really great people in the process. So, what are you waiting for? Go volunteer!

A Week In My Life At USA

This is just a little look into my life here at South Alabama! Monday's are always pretty slow, although, what made it better was that I have my favorite classes on Mondays/Wednesdays/Fridays! Anatomy & Physiology and Microbiology are the only classes I had and once I got out of class me and my roommate went grocery shopping for the week! After that, I had about an hour to hang out around the apartment, then it was time for work. Once I was done with that I headed to the library and studied for anatomy until 1 AM. Bleh! Tuesdays are pretty nice because I don't have class until 12:30 so I was able to sleep in! Then I left to go to Philosophy and History, which was nice because I got my essay graded and got an A! Then, after class I went to my apartment to eat and watch Shane Dawson's series on Jake Paul and after I headed to work. After work it was time to head to the library to continue studying till 1 AM. A Week In My Life At South Alabama!

When you're a college student your life is filled with so many twists and turns and some weeks may be super busy and some may be super laid back. Although, I try to make my weeks a little bit of both, here's a look at a week in my life as a student at South Alabama! Here's what me and my friends had when we went out for a small girls trip to Fairhope! Game night is a great way to relieve stress after a long day of classes! You also can't forget about studying! Personally I occasionally like a change of scenery and love to go to Gulf Shores and study on the beach! If you live in Mobile, you're going to love going to all of the Mardi Gras parades! Me and my friends actually have a detailed schedule just to fit in parades with our studying! And finally, to end off the week me and my friends had a great time helping future students learn more about USA!
